@gruber looks like Photos app uses the same custom UI as iMovie app - AirVideo/YouTube/Safari all use the standard (and AirPlay-enabled) UI.

@gruber That was one of the best use cases I imagined - take videos of friends, family, show them on your or someone else’s Apple TV.

gruber So you can show still photos from iPhone Photos app to Apple TV via AirPlay, but not videos from iPhone camera? What sense does that make?
