@jcroft awesome - I could even see something as simple as the LAST/PREV button on a TV remote…

@jcroft main place it hits you - third party media a la Pandora, and inter app operations - native delicious app. Not dealbreakers. Skype?

@Jason Hilarious: he reads “split-view is iPad only” and thinks Engadget means the camera - it’s the UI function from the mail client, etc.

My thoughts on the iPad: http://j.mp/cTK6pf tl;dr version: smart people say FAST, great piece of glass. Should ROCK edu market. DO want.

siracusa I will pay cash money $$$$ to @brentsimmons to ensure that NNW iPad has a built-in web browser and “tabs” like the Mac version.

Heilemann “It’s just a large iPhone”. As if that would be a bad thing. Louis CK got it right; everything’s amazing, noones happy.

@fraserspeirs I think somewhere in the preso Steve said June for rest-of-world. Maybe deals with carriers in uk/fr/de/ie/etc still unsigned?

@jsnell My wife, who didn’t want an iPhone, wants one of these.

*Every* student needs an iPad. This IS the non-nano-tech version of the device from Neal Stephenson’s Diamond Age.

fraserspeirs I hope the iPad leads to more “serious” applications on iPhone OS and fewer novelties.

Even on iPhone, *some* (Apple’s) apps can multi-task. What if Safari, iWork, iBook, etc. can now? If you can choose others to enable it for?

via web

@fraserspeirs Exactly. Now I want an iMac 27”, an iPad, and a smaller iPhone with a better camera.

Heilemann And Flash crashed. If that doesn’t say everything, what does?

iWork on this could mean they think people will buy this only - no MacBooks. Does this sync with the cloud, etc?

via Brizzly

@fraserspeirs they would *have* to let you present from the iPad. Question is, wireless or via a dock<->VGA adapter?

via Brizzly in reply to fraserspeirs

@AlisonL definitely curious how that will be to use.

via Brizzly in reply to AlisonL

Breaking: New iPad comes with free Le Corbusier chair you have to use it while sitting in.

via Brizzly

Woah. Now, iWork might be a game-changer.

via Brizzly

Wow. TWIT on Ustream has 90K+ simultaneous viewers.

via Brizzly

via Brizzly

@textism I think you mean dar… Oh. Haha.

via Brizzly in reply to textism

@chockenberry He’s obviously joking. Farmville a game-changer? Really? Most of it was jokes he and @leolaporte did on TWIT, anyway.
